Webmonit

Get started

One binary, one service, and the interface does the rest. On Debian and its derivatives:

curl -fsSL https://repo.lrob.net/apt/webmonit/webmonit.gpg -o /usr/share/keyrings/webmonit.gpg
echo "deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/webmonit.gpg] https://repo.lrob.net/apt/webmonit stable main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/webmonit.list
apt update && apt install webmonit

The package starts the service on 127.0.0.1:17460 and prints the two commands that follow:

sudo -u webmonit webmonit token init # the first admin API token
sudo -u webmonit webmonit user add <login> # your account for the interface

Put a reverse proxy with TLS in front, set public_url: in /etc/webmonit/webmonit.yaml, and open the interface: an empty install greets you with the two forms that matter — Add a machine and Add a site.

The overview documentation takes it from there, step by step.
