Webmonit

Terms of use

Version of 5 September 2026. These terms apply to the webmonit.eu site and to the Webmonit software. Paid services, when they open, will be covered by additional terms of sale.

1. Who we are

The site and the software are published by LRob SARL (details in the legal notice).

2. The software

The Webmonit server and agent are free software released under the GNU AGPL version 3. You may use, study, modify and redistribute them under the terms of that licence. They are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or absence of defects, to the extent permitted by law.

Webmonit sends network requests to the targets you declare — web checks, DNS queries, pings, port probes. You remain solely responsible for what you monitor: only monitor machines and domains you administer or have permission to probe. The scheduler bounds the request rate by design, and you control its budget.

A verdict is a judgement on network answers: it can be wrong. A site marked down may be up for others; a site marked up may be failing in ways no check sees.

3. Premium extensions

Premium extensions, when they open, will be reserved for account holders under a licence of use: you may run them on the machines you administer, but not redistribute, resell or publish them.

4. Support

There is no mandatory support. We do our best to fix bugs and answer reports, but with no commitment of delay or result, free or paid, short of a separate written contract. The channels for reporting a problem are given on the site and in the code repositories.

5. Availability

The site and, in time, accounts are provided with no guarantee of availability. We may change, suspend or stop them. Your machines do not depend on them: a Webmonit server you run keeps working without our site.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, LRob cannot be held liable for indirect damages, loss of business, data or revenue arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the software or the site. For paid services, LRob's liability is capped at the sums paid over the last twelve months.

7. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably falls to the courts of Orléans, France, subject to mandatory consumer rules.
