Webmonit watches your servers and every site they serve: HTTP with its full timing breakdown, certificates, DNS, mail routing — and, with the agent, the machine itself by the second, down to what each hosting account spends. One binary carries the checks, the history, the alerts, the interface and the status pages.

What sets it apart
Per hosting account
On a shared server, the machine total says nothing. Webmonit shows CPU and memory per system account, second by second — the noisy site, the runaway cron, the account that pays for an upgrade are all one glance.
Timings, taken apart
Every web check records DNS, connect, TLS, first byte and download separately, cold and warm. "The site is slow" becomes "TLS went from 40 to 400 ms on Tuesday".
History is the product
Every result is kept, every incident carries its evidence, and a change that is not a failure — a DNS record moved, a certificate renewed — is an event you can find later. Nothing is summarised away before its time.
Alerts that respect your sleep
A channel says how loud each severity is on it; a machine or a check says how much it matters. Maintenance windows silence what they cover, a recovery says what recovered, and the first good answer never wakes anyone.
Status pages included
Public status pages with real availability, the incidents you chose to publish, and the planned maintenance ahead — served by the same binary, no third-party service.
It knows your panel
Connected to a hosting panel, Webmonit discovers the sites, who owns them, their plans and their mail — and flags what drifts: a domain pointing elsewhere, mail served locally while MX records lead away.
API first
Everything the interface does is one call an API token can make. The CLI is a thin client of the same API; scripts and panels plug in the same way.
Open source, free, European
Server and agent are AGPL-3.0: read the source, build it, run it without paying anyone. The company, the servers and the data are in France.

Two ways to watch
From outside
Point Webmonit at anything with a domain — yours or not. HTTP with timings, certificate, DNS against the authoritative servers, registration, ports, mail logins. Nothing to install on the target.
With the agent
On your own machines, a small agent pushes what no outside check can see: metrics by the second, per-account usage, disks and RAID, temperatures, the sites the machine serves. It only ever pushes — the server holds no credential over your host.
